Ms. Mary Eda Cimafranca of Poblacion I was crowned as the Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2015 during the pageant held at Bohol Wisdom School gym Friday night.

City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II and his first lady Jane Cajes-Yap, provincial and other officials graced the beauty and brain competition as a prelude to the annual celebration of the feast of St. Joseph, the Worker, patron saint of this city. 

Cimafranca succeeded Ms. Geraldine Topsnik, Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2014 and will represent the city to the search for Miss Bohol Sandugo in July this year. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Crisente Cimafranca.

The 16-year old lass just completed her high school from Bohol Wisdom School.

This year’s Mutya holds the bearing to be a beauty queen after she won several special awards like Best in Production, Best in Gown and Best in Casual Interview.

Ms. Christine Juguan of barangay Dampas and Ms. Sheree Ann Ciruela of Poblacion 2, clinched the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Completing the five finalists were Ms. Ma. Mercedes Cutanda of barangay Mansasa and Ms. Jennifer Winters of barangay Dao, who won the “Best in Talent” award.

Cimafranca also garnered several minor awards: “Best in Swimsuit,” “Best in Interview,” and “Best in Gown.”

Ciruela won the “Darling of the Crowd” and Juguan, “Darling of the Press” award.

Ms. Nicole Fiona Gordillo of barangay Cabawan bagged the “Miss Photogenic” and “Viewer’s Award.”

Other hopefuls include Sunshine Tutor of barangay Taloto; Lady Arlia Lumantas, Manga; Christine Ponce, Poblacion III;  Jorgene Daguplo, Booy; Careen Pilayre, Bool; Patrice Visaya, San Isidro; Darlene Galao, Cogon; Reneith flordeliz Alturas, Tiptip; and Frances Montejo, Ubujan.

The board of judges was led by TV movie personality Ruffa Guterrez and top notch lawyer  Atty.  Fortune and eight togethers.
