A 61 year old woman was hacked to death by her own cousin yesterday evening at eight o’clock, May 22, 2016 in Barangay Tigbao, Loboc.
The victim identified as Leunisa Fernandez, was stabbed several times by her cousin, Alberto Fernandez, 38 years old and a farmer residing in the same village.
According to the initial investigation by the Loboc Police Station, the suspect entered the house of the victim to confront her over an alleged stone throwing incident involving his daughter.
A heated argument ensued between the two cousins with the suspect losing his temper and pulled out an 18 inch scythe and attacked the victim.
The victim suffered several stab wounds in different parts of her body and was brought to the hospital by her neighbors but expired a few hours later.
After the incident, the suspect calmly returned to his house and was arrested by the police.
