3 knife-wielding alleged pushers nabbed in Ubay

Police arrested three suspected drug dealers after residents reported them for peddling drugs in their neighborhood while carrying bladed weapons.

Ubay police chief Senior Insp. Roland Lavisto who led the responding team said that they saw the suspects carrying knives as reported prompting them to search and arrest the alleged pushers who were in a drinking session.

The authorities recovered small packets of shabu from the suspects identified as Joel Tubo, Hermones Tubo, and Edsel Rosales, all residents of Sitio Son-oc, Barangay Poblacion, Ubay.

According to PO3 Lemuel Reyes, all three alleged pushers are included in their watch list of drug personalities.

Reyes also noted that the suspects previously surrendered to authorities and pledged to end their illegal drug activities but continued to peddle drugs after.

The Ubay police acknowledged the residents who reported the incident for contributing in the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.

Charges for violating Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165 and Illegal Possession Of Bladed, Pointed Or Blunt Weapons (Batas Pambansa Blg. 6) are set to be filed against the suspects. (Allen Doydora)
