The Department of Education-Bohol Division was chosen as one of the 2016 Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Stakeholders Awardees during the awards ceremony and appreciation lunch held at the Banking Hall, BSP Cebu Regional Office, Osmena Blvd., Cebu City last Tuesday.
The award is in recognition of DepEd-Bohol as Outstanding Regional Partner in the conduct of public information campaigns which supported the BSP’s statistical initiatives, information requirements, advocacy programs, as well as the effective delivery of the institutional functions. Receiving the award was the Schools Division Superintendent of Bohol, Dr. Wilfreda D. Bongalos.
BSP’s Monetary Board Member Alfredo C. Antonio handed over the trophies to the awardees. Antonio in his keynote speech explained the role of partnership and mutual commitment to foster a common vision in order for all Filipinos to get better quality of life. He further stated that with the continuous alliance and linkage, Philippines could sustain the present recognition as Asia’s Rising Star.
The said awarding ceremony was on its 13th year and is held annually as a way of BSP’s expression of gratitude to their valued stakeholders.
This year’s event carries the theme, “Sustained Partnership, Sustained Economic Growth†which looks forward for economic stability through strong bond and connection. The event is expected to further strengthen the partnerships between the BSP and its stakeholders in information gathering and advocacy campaigns that will help the BSP carry out its mandate.
Other awardees are Muramoto Audio-Visual Philippines Inc., Phil-Japan Metals and Refined Products Co. Inc., Philippine Statistics Authority – Region VII and ABS-CBN Cebu/DYAB Cebu. (lopehubac-depedbohol)
