Police on Thursday afternoon apprehended the number three drug personality in the towns of Loay and Lila during a buy-bust operation.

Police operatives of the two municipalities conducted the joint operation against Leonardo “Patok” Tejada Jr. near the suspect’s residence in Brgy. Botoc Oriental, Loay at around 4:00 p.m.

According to Insp. Sinforiano Abayabay, chief of the Loay police, Tejada conducted drug operations in both Loay and neighboring town Lila.

The apprehending team immediately tried to arrest Tejada after he handed over suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for a marked money amounting to P500.

The suspect was able to run from the operatives but was cornered by Loay and Lila policemen posted around the buy-bust area.

Tejada is currently held at the lock-up jail of the Loay police station while authorities are preparing to file drug charges against him. (Willy Maetsrado)
