Personnel of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) are currently conducting investigations on executions of suspected drug violators carried out by unidentified assailants, a police official said.

Superintendent Ricky Delilis, BPPO public information officer, told DYRD Balita that the Investigation and Detective Management Branch has been tasked to solve the murder cases involving alleged drug personalities.

According to Delilis, investigations on five killing incidents against suspected drug personalities have been opened starting July 1 to August 11, 2016.

The tasked police investigators are working round the clock to identify the people and motive behind the said killings, Delilis said.

Amid the spate of alleged drug personality killings, the public has aired speculations indicating that vigilantes perpetrated these crimes.

However, police have denied the existence of vigilante groups operating in the province.

The BPPO is eyeing rifts among members of drug groups as possible motive behind the killings, as it cited money disputes as the probable triggering factor. (Allen Doydora)
