Dauis police collar town’s no. 6 drug personality

The Dauis police arrested on Thursday the town’s number six alleged drug personality in a buy-bust operation.

The suspect, identified as Wilson Penales, a resident of Barangay Mayacabac, Dauis, yielded five grams of suspected shabu.

According to a police report, the suspect was immediately apprehended by operatives of the Dauis police after he sold suspected shabu worth P500 to an undercover cop.

The police recovered the five grams of shabu contained in medium-sized pack from Penales as they frisked him.

According to Insp. Gerard Luna, Dauis police chief, the buy-bust operation was set in motion through the help of residents of Bgry. Mayacabac.

He said that the assistance of the concerned citizens was prompted by the rampant drug activities in the said village.

Charges for violating Section 5 and Section 11 of Article II Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against Penales. (Willy Mastrado)
