Three alleged drug dealers were arrested by Dauis police operatives in separate anti-drug operations on Thursday.

Police identified the suspects as 52-year-old Mariano Calamba, who is listed in the town’s drug watch list, Faustino Guimbalena, 48, and Joel Fudalan, 31, all residents of Barangay Bingag, Dauis.

Calamba was collared at his home in a dawn raid by operatives carrying a warrant issued by Executive Presiding Judge Suceso Arcamo of Regional Trial Court Branch 47.

The suspect allegedly yielded shabu weighing eight grams worth P80,000 based on Dangerous Drugs Board value.

According to Dauis police, Guimbalena and Fudalan were selling drugs as they were spotted by cops a few hours after the first Thursday arrest.

Police then subjected the suspects to separate buy-bust operations which resulted in arrests as the two were allegedly caught red-handed selling illegal drugs to an undercover cop.

According to Insp. Gerard Luna, chief of the Dauis police, both suspects surrendered to Oplan Tokhang but continued to peddle illegal drugs.

The three suspects are currently  detained at the lock-up jail of the Dauis police pending the filing of drug charges against them. (Willie Maestrado)
