The home of another member of the defunct Tagbilaran City Monitoring Team formed by former city mayor Dan Lim was subjected to a drug raid, but this time, police were unable to find contraband.

Tagbilaran City police on Thursday served a search warrant, which was issued by Executive Presiding Judge Suceso Arcamo, at the residence of Edwin Octora in Brgy. San Isidro, Tagbilaran City.

Operatives however did not find illegal drugs inside the residence. Police said that they only recovered a live .45 caliber bullet.

According to SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay, team leader of the raiding police team, Octora is included in Tagbilaran City’s watch list of drug personalities.

Octora denied involvement in illegal narcotics activities and only admitted to having used drugs in the past.

Last week, city anti-narcotics police led by Bagotchay arrested Jedo Lopena who was also a member of the Tagbilaran City Monitoring Team.

Lopena was caught in possession of packets of shabu estimated to be worth P40,000 during a drug raid at his residence in Brgy. Ubujan Tagbilaran CIty.

Lim during his term as city mayor enlisted the aid of local “tough guys” through the said monitoring team to track down those alleged of involvement in illegal activities. (Wellie Maestrado)
