Family beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) this year will start to receive monthly kilos of rice.

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Bohol chief Papiasa Bustrillos told DYRD Balita that around P60,123 4Ps beneficiaries will be given the rice allocation from the Philippine Food Authority.

However, Bustrillos noted that the plan could change and that instead of 14 kilos of rice, money will be distributed to the beneficiaries starting in May.

She said that their office has not received guidelines on the exact implementation of the project from national officials of the DSWD.

The national government had previously allocated P5.8 billion for the 4.4 million beneficiaries of the Conditional Cash Transfer program in the entire country,

Starting January until September last year, 431 Boholanos have been removed from the 4Ps beneficiary list. (Rey Tutas)
