MANILA, March 30 (PNA) — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa on Thursday scolded a police officer who was earlier arrested for illegal drug use in Las Pinas City.

The arrested officer was identified as Supt. Lito Dumandan Cabamongan, chief of the PNP Crime Laboratory Satellite Office in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

In the report of the Southern Police District (SPD), the police community precinct No. 6 (PNP 6) of Las Pinas City PNP, a pot session was happening at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Everlasting Homes, Talon Kuatro, Las Pinas City.

The police immediately responded and arrested Cabamongan, together with a woman companion identified as Nedy Acompanado Sabdao.

Seized from the two suspects were four sachets of suspected shabu, a lighter and an aluminum foil.

The PNP chief personally went to the Las Pinas City PCP 6 where the suspects are detained.

Dela Rosa could not conceal his anger when he confronted the police officer, who seemed to be still high on shabu.

He assured that the arrested officer would not stay longer in service and he would surely be dismissed from the police service.

Cabamongan will undergo the drug testing in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Thursday afternoon. (PNA)
