Jesca Docena again proved her wizardry of the sports in snatching two golds in the Visayas regional leg of the Batang Pinoy Games 2013 in Maasin City, Southern Leyte. She emerged champion in both the rapid and standard categories in the girls division. She played for the Bohol province athletic delegation, which placed 2nd overall champion after Cebu. The Batang Pinoy leg was participated by players in different sports events from Regions 6, 7 and 8. The 12-year-old Docena from Antequeraearlier won the 2013 Shell National Youth Active Chess Championship, girls division. Her elder sister Jedara and brother Jerad are national masters. She came along with her farther Chris to the Governor’s Mansion and thanked Gov. Edgar Chatto for the support. ( Zjem Kisha R. Arigo)
