DOLE sets deployment of 3 new job search kiosks on the occasion of Labor Day this coming May 1.
DOLE Bohol OIC Gerry Guidaben revealed that the municipalities of Jagna, Maribojoc and Calape are the recipients of these very worthwhile apparatus wherein job applicants can search job openings both local and overseas.
Finding employment opportunities in the job market will become easier with these job search kiosks (JSKs).
The deployment of the kiosks is a boost to sustaining the progress of employment facilitation and in investing in the country’s human resource as pillars of decent work towards inclusive growth, Guidaben added.
He said the task of facilitating job matching and placement of job seekers as one of DOLE’s strategies is enriched with the aid of information and communications technology. The JSK serves as a virtual jobs fair site which will regularly churn out employment opportunities in the job market.
A Job Search Kiosk is an information portal housed in an ATM-type, stand-alone equipment, which provides information on local/overseas job opportunities and other employment related information. It helps job seekers to fast-track access to relevant information on job openings, hiring requirements of employers or upgrade, their skills through the TESDA programs and BLE career guides.
