groupThe Province of Bohol has been awarded the Seal of Good Local Governance – Good Financial Housekeeping (SGLG-GFH) for the year 2014 by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).  The SGLG-GFH is given to local government units that excel and give premium to accountability and transparency in financial management, with Unqualified or Qualified Commission on Audit (COA) Opinion of the financial statements and comply with the requirements of the Full Disclosure Policy of the DILG.For maintaining the Seal of Good Housekeeping and Good Financial Housekeeping since 2012, the Provincial Government of Bohol has been given an incentive of P7.0 Million that can be used to fund its priority development projects. 

 

Good Public Financial Management (PFM) is one of the priorities of the Provincial Government of Bohol, as steered and championed by Governor Edgar M. Chatto and the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. The Local Finance Committee, as a local special body, provides the necessary policy recommendations to the provincial leadership to ensure that government funds are managed and utilized properly.  The Local Finance Committee is chaired by Provincial Administrator Alfonso Damalerio II with members Provincial Accountant Joseth J. Celocia, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator John Titus J. Vistal, Provincial Treasurer Eustaquio A. Socorin, Provincial Budget Officer Florlinda P. Amora, Provincial Assessor Edgardo P. Orig, Provincial Legal Officer Mitchell John L. Boiser, Provincial Internal Audit Office Head May D. Limbaga, and Head of the Governor’s Office – Finance Section Caroline Fame Paster-Hinay.
