Dizzying temperatures in India neared 50C in the last few days, pushing the death toll to at least 1,826. The heat wave is now the fifth-deadliest in recorded world history.
Because of the developing El Nino year, the threat of flooding and drought in different parts of the world appears to be ominous.
In the Philippines according to PAGASA, the moderate El Niño is expected to be in its strongest by August, it will weaken in September but the full impact is expected in October, and will persist until the end of this year, and even until the first few months of 2016.
From August to December this year, sixty provinces, including Metro Manila, will be affected by El Niño, except for Caraga.
Based on historical data when El Niño prevails, storms are more disastrous depending on winds and rainfall. El Nino is known to change the weather worldwide, often making things more extreme.
This El Nino is itself weird according to some scientists. This month of May, heavy downpours in Texas have smashed the region from drought to flooding, it brought record 91-degree (32C) readings in Alaska, a deadly heat wave hitting 48C in India, strong typhoons in the Northwest Pacific, and drought struck the East.
It seems Mother Nature keeps throwing havoc at us, or is it just the consequence of man’s irresponsibility?

Tidbits:
The Vatican hurried to recognize the “State of Palestineâ€, against the Jewish people. The Zionist Organization of America denounced it as the Pope recognizing Jew/Christian-Hating Palestinian State.
Some say the historic diplomatic move puts the Vatican and Pope in the position of supporting a corrupt and terrorist entity.
