Islamic State (IS) terrorist group claimed it was behind the shooting attack last Friday in a Tunisia resort that killed 39 foreigners mostly Britons, aside from the 22 tourists casualties in March.
On the same day, a suicide attack on a Shia mosque in Kuwait claimed 27 lives while wounding many. It has beheaded a man and injured several at a factory in France. It has carried out similar recent attacks in Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
Tunisian President said they will close about 80 mosques who are acting outside the constitution by inciting and promoting terrorism.
In Turkey, fearing that Kurdistan may free itself from their territory, made a choice to silently support IS, and is preventing the war against IS. Accordingly they are responding by treating IS as the lesser evil from the Kurds in order to secure their territory.
Turkey has the second largest army in NATO and could wipe IS if they wanted it. Refusing to do so is the choice.
The Islamic State – IS incited its followers to increase attacks against Christians, as well as Shi’ite and Sunni Muslims. It has the ability to inspire and radicalize followers in the world.
This is a threat that faces all of us, it can happen anywhere.
