The coming home of the Boholanos from the four nooks of the globe adds savor in the celebration of the Bohol’s Agri-Food Fair in July 14-17, 2015 at the Plaza Rizal, Tagbilaran City.
Beaming the theme “Sufficient and Quality Agri-Fishery Products: Key to ASEAN Integration,†this year’s fair is expected to be more significant and memorable because the celebration will coincide with the popular Tigum Bol-anon Tibook Kalibutan (TBTK) wherein the Balikbayans once again can eat their favorite Boholano delicacies and buy Boholano made products for souvenir at the Plaza Rizal which is the center of the activities.
The four-day activities include: Agribusiness/Organic Agri Day (July 14, 2015); Crops Day (July 15, 215); Livestock Day (July 16, 2015); and Fisheries Day on July 17, 2015.
Governor Edgar M. Chatto will give the words of encouragement on his inspiration message; messages of support will be delivered by the three solons, Representative Rene L. Relampagos (1st District), Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado (2nd District), and Rep. Arthur C. Yap (3rd District); Director Angel C. Enriquez, OIC-Regional Executive Director, Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office (DA-RFO)7 will give her message; Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell L. Yap will do the welcome address after Board Member Abeleon R. Damalerio, Chair, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Agriculture could lead the recitation of the rice pledge; while assistant Provincial Agriculturist Larry M. Pamugas will give the Statement of Purpose and will acknowledge the guests and participants.
The Agri-Food Fair 2015 Awardees and the SUHID Sa Malampusong Mag-uumang Bol-anon 2015 winners will be awarded and recognized during the awarding and closing ceremony in the afternoon of July 17, 2015 at the Bohol Cultural Center.
Pamugas said the different working committees have already been created to do the grounds works to ensure the success of the fair. (By Atoy Cosap)
