An architect had been shot dead by his client following argument over the delay of the design of the latter’s house.
The incident occurred past 12 noon yesterday right at the residence of the victim at Calceta St., this city.
Police identified the 45-year-old victim as Architect Genies Angalot.
He sustained five gunshot wounds from a .45 caliber pistol, four in the head and one went through the heart, causing his instantaneous death.
Based on investigation, prior to the incident, the victim and his client—a dismissed militaryman—had a verbal tussle emanating from the victim’s delay in drafting the design of the suspect’s house.
Six months had already passed and the suspect had almost completed the payment, but the victim had not shown any detail of the design of a house that the former commissioned him to do.
The victim’s wife, Rosalina, narrated that they were having lunch with their child when the suspect suddenly arrived and talked to his husband. After a few minutes they heard burst of gunfire.
She said they ran and when she came back to their house, she found his husband bathed in his own blood.
