The filing of the certificates of candidacies (COC) of those wanting to run for the 2016 election starts tomorrow at the various offices of the Commission on Election.
Prov’l Comelec Supervisor Eliseo Lavaria told The Chronicle that their offices will accommodated the aspirants for political positions starting tomorrow until midnight of Friday, Oct. 16.
He said that the next five days will be the only days designated to receive the certificates of candidacies from the president, vice president, senators, congressmen, governors, board members, mayors, vice mayors and city and town councilors.
Lavaria said that the campaign for local officials will commence on March 25 while national candidates can start campaigning second week of February next year.
Comelec registrars in all 47 towns and Tagbilaran City were instructed to have their full staff report starting tomorrow for the five-day filing of COCs.
