Police scored anew in the relentless drive against illegal drugs with the arrest of two alleged big-time drug runners in the city, and five more in other operations over the week.
The City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group arrested one Abu Ada, a 33-year-old native of Barangay Bangon, Marawi City, during a buy-bust operation at around 6:30 a.m. on October 30, at purok 6 in Muslim Village, Barangay Taloto, City.
Ada, temporarily residing in Muslim Village, allegedly brought shabu to Bohol from Marawi City, according to intelligence reports.
After the buy-bust, the CAIDSOTG composed of SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay Jr., PO2 Ignacio Inojales, PO2 Richie Lovete, PO2 Gary Labial, PO1 Bart Paredes, PO1 Ray Neil Bibat and PO1 Maris Aldrin Gabuya swooped down the residence of one Palawan Yousof Macaorog, also known as Palawan Disamburom Macaurog, 45 years old.
The police team, in coordination with PDEA, conducted the raid in Macaorog’s residence at Purok 6 in Muslim Village based on a search warrant issued by Judge Suceso Arcamo of Regional Trial Court Branch 4 in Tagbilaran City.
Items confiscated from Ada included one sachet of shabu which was the subject of the buy-bust, the 1,000-peso bill used as marked money, one big sachet of shabu, one medium sachet of shabu, and a black pouch.
Confiscated from Macaorog were one sachet od shabu, cash amounting to P20,840 in different denominations, and a box containing several drug paraphernalia.
The operation was conducted in the presence of Socrates Israel of the NPS, Barangay Kagawad Galicano Refulle Barangay Kagawad Alfred Robante, and DYRD’s Rey Tutas.
Both Ada and Macaorog had been temporarily detained at the Tagbilaran City Police Station lock-up jail while waiting for appropriate charges to be filed against them.
In an earlier operation, elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Bohol, Dauis police, CAIDSOTG, Provincial Intelligence Branch/SWAT and PDEA arrested a 20-year-old suspected illegal drug pusher, Agustin Pamaong, in a buy-bust operation at around 3 p.m. on October 29 at B. Inting St. in Poblacion 2, this city.
Pamaong, a resident of Barangay Tabalong, Dauis, yielded a small sachet of shabu which was the subject of the buy-bust, two 100-peso bills used as marked money, and one more small sachet of shabu.
The sachets of shabu confiscated from Pamaong had been estimated to weigh 0.39 grams with estimated value of P4,500.
In Mabini, the municipal police team and elements of the 3rd Regional Public Safety Manuever Company, RPSB-7 (RPSMC-RPSB-7) arrested one Analiza Piloton, also known as Madam, Negra, or Analyn at around 3 a.m. on October 28 during a raid in her residence at Purok Caimito in Barangay Aguipo.
The police team conducted the raid based on a search warrant issued by Judge Patsita Sarmiento-Gamutan of RTC Branch 51 in Carmen, Bohol.
The raiding team recovered 17 small sachets of shabu, nine improvised tooter made of aluminium tin foil, two improvised plastic scoops, one improvised bamboo clip, three blades, a volume of small rolled tinfoil, 16 lighters, an one piece of unrolled tinfoil from Piloton’s house.
At around 9 p.m. on October 28, elements of Ubay police arrested one Eliserio Valmoria during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tapon,
Valmoria, a 34-year-old resident of Purok 2 in Barangay Tapon, Ubay yielded one large sachet of shabu, and seven small sachets of shabu (the subject of the buy-bust), and a digital weighing scale during the operation.
In Lila, the municipal anti-illegal drugs Special Operations Task Group arrested one Sherie Tagab, also known as Boday, and one Patrick Sombreo, also known as Tisoy during a raid at around 6 a.m. on October 26 in Barangay Tiguis.
The raid was conducted based on a search warrant issued by Judge Dionisio Calibo Jr. of RTC Branch 50 in Loay.
The raiding team recovered at three small sachets of shabu, 18 opened sachet with shabu residue, an improvised plastic tooter, one improvised tooter with metal, three tin foil tooters, two tinfoil straight, several pieces of used tin foils, several empty sachets, and several other drug paraphernalia.
When PO3 Fara Montesclaros frisked Tagab, she found five medium-size sachets of shabu in the latter’s possession.
