 (MANILA).  The People’s Choice Movement -after subjecting national candidates under a Gabay Kristo matrix for character and competence – endorsed  and will campaign for senator Grace Poe  (Ind) and former DILG Mar Roxas  (LP) as its presidential candidates in May.
The People’s Choice Movement is made up of leaders and members of Catholic, Evangelical and Protestant communities creating 1 million committed voters to bring in 9 million more members in their sphere of influence or a total of 10 million voters. The movement has been endorsed by the CBCP (Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines).
According to Alex Lacson, lead convenor of the PMTL(Pilipino Movement for Transformational Leadership), there are two candidates for president because there is still a motion at the Supreme Court questioning the SC decision on Senator Poe’s eligibility.
All of the candidates were to sign a Reform Agenda – a covenant with the group to ensure pro-people servant leadership when they are elected into office.  Although only four of the 13 endorsed candidates actually signed the covenant last Thursday at the Club Pilipino— all the nine others committed to sign the same document.
VICE PRESIDENT AND SENATOR CHOICES
Endorsed solely for vice president is (LP) bet and widow of the late Jessie Robredo – Leni Robredo – a lawyer and current congresswoman from Naga City, Bicol.
On the other hand, the 10 endorsed senatorial candidates are (alphabetical order): Raffy Alunan, Neri Colmenares, Â Leila De Lima, Dick Gordon, TG Guingona, Susan Ople, Â Serge Osmena, Â Kiko Pangilinan, Roman Romulo and Joel Villanueva.
HOW TO VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are encouraged to visit the website: www.peopleschoice.com.ph or secretariat@peopleschoice.com. They are encouraged to campaign in person and bring in at least 10 believers or through the internet: facebook, instagram, tweeter, blogs.
The People’s Choice will get involved in the next barangay elections and the 2016 local and senatorial polls. Those who want to donate to the People’s Choice Movement can do so at P100 a month to build a financial chest and create an alternative campaign kitty for good people -candidates but  who are lacking in resources against the well-entrenched, rich and corrupt traditional politicians and their crooked allies.
In its website, The People’s Choice said its aim is “to help in electing honest, competent, dedicated, strong-willed, Â servant leaders who will lead the country towards national transformation according to God’s will.”
