Tonight, Bb. Pilipinas Pageant, the country’s longest- running and most prestigious beauty search will conclude its 2016 edition with the crowning of its newest batch of titleholders. Six titles are at stake: Miss Universe Philippines, Bb. Pilipinas- International, Bb. Pilipinas- Supranational, Bb. Pilipinas- Intercontinental, Bb. Pilipinas- Globe and Bb. Pilipinas- Grand International.
Last year, I was able to correctly predict four of the five titleholders with my fifth choice getting the 1st Runner up position. The only one I didn’t foresee as a winner was Rogelie Catacutan. This year, it’s going to be a battle royale for the Miss Universe- Philippines crown, which is the most coveted among the titles.
I have picked the following ladies as the most likely to be battling it out tonight for the top titles. They are # 29 Maxine Medina, # 11Nicole Cordoves, # 28 Nichole Manalo # 31 Kylie Verzosa, # 27 Dindi Pajares, # 23 Angela Valdez. Whoever will be picked as Pia Wurtzbach’s successor will definitely have big shoes to fill in.
Pia will be joined tonight at the Araneta Coliseum by Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan and Pia’s Miss U buddies Miss Malaysia & Miss Myanmar. ABS CBN will telecast the pageant at 10 p.m.
