The opposition in Bohol has finally found an A-1 leader in Aris.
Rep. Erico Aristotle “Aris†Aumentado (Bohol, 2nd District) recently assumed the “spiritual leadership†of the Bohol United Opposition (BUO).
Even Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong†Marcos Jr., during his recent visit to Bohol, recognized his leadership because the former knows well Aumentado’s lineage and pedigree of good performance – drawn from the records of his services rendered.
In accepting the post, Aumentado said he did so “reluctantly†because as a neophyte in politics, he knows there are a lot of leader materials who are very senior than he is.
With Aumentado at the helm, the opposition is now united and has now become a force to reckon with.
The opposition chose him because of his untainted name and topnotch performance as replacement candidate for his father in the 2013 elections.
To note, the solon’s immediate past predecessor and namesake father, Erico Boyles Aumentado passed away on Christmas Day in 2012 – at the height of the campaign.
This prompted the son to file his candidacy, and the rest, so they say, is history. The Aumentado leadership, his colleagues say, gives good alternative in terms of governance. (June S. Blanco)
