As part of USAID programs, Bohol teachers are invited on Basa Pilipinas regional literacy workshop on Friday at Sarossa International Hotel, Cebu City. The event is supported by the Department of Education (DepEd) national reading program.

Regular teachers in any level, heads and schools division superintendent are expected to attend. The participants from the province of Bohol will have their flight on Thursday.
This Basa Pilipinas Regional Literacy workshop aims to give opportunity to the teachers in discussing and reflecting their shared milestone, lesson learned, and best practices regarding the Basa Pilipinas activities and the coming events.
Furthermore, the Basa field teams will coordinate with the division to identify who will be the presenters to share the successful implementation of teacher training access and use of materials, learning Action Cell and reading advocacy of USAID program Basa Pilipinas.
The program will also help the Divisions to identify the ways to build the gains of the program, and present a portion of their sustainability plan.
“This is a one day event, so the Bohol delegates need not worry about their family left at home†says Dr. Wifreda Bongalos, Bohol Division Superintendent.
The expenses relative to the participants will be charged against Basa Pilipinas funds, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. The payment for travel expenses, incidentals, and meals allowance will be reimbursed.(Angelyn ampoloquio)
