MANILA, May 2 (PNA) — Except for isolated thunderstorms, a warm and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country on Monday, according to state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA said this is due to the presence of Ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) affecting northern and central Luzon and the easterlies or warm winds prevailing over the eastern section of central and southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
The presence of HPA will bring good weather conditions to the country in the coming days.
Despite a warmer weather, the occurrence of isolated rains will still prevail due to localized thunderstorms expect mostly in the afternoon or evening.
For Monday forecast, partly cloudy to cloudy skies will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly over the eastern section of central and southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the east over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. (PNA)
