The High School Class of 1966, fondly called Circa ‘66 of Holy Name University, formerly Divine Word College of Tagbilaran, celebrates its Golden Jubilee Alumni Homecoming, on its third and final day today with fun-fare and festivities. The theme of the celebrations: #Golden Memories #Golden Moments!
Activities on Day 1 (May 20) included registration followed by a Eucharistic Celebration with Fr. Florante Camacho, SVD as the officiating priest held at the Holy Name University Dampas Campus. A motorcade followed culminating at Belian Hotel for a “Meet and Greet†Lunch. The Grand Alumni Homecoming was held at Henann Convention Center, Panglao Bohol. The sumptuous dinner at Henann Resort was sponsored by CIRCA classmates, Dr. PekEng Lim, Judge Sisoy Arcamo and Atty. Gil Racho.
Second day (May 21) started with a community outreach activity at the Holy Trinity Orphanage at Albur, where about 20 orphans under the care of nuns will be provided with school supplies, food and some entertainment. The golden jubilarians had lunch at Baluarte in Baclayon. An Evening with Spouses and Friends, which is a dinner-dance affair capped Day 2 at Saya’s Restaurant.
Today will be dedicated to family day and a beach picnic at the SVD Beach House in Libaong, Panglao, where a business meeting will be held to map out alumni reunions after the 50th.
About 60 golden jubilarians gather and met to reminisce the fun, laughter and golden memories and golden moments of high school life. The preparation team that took almost two years was headed by Judge Sisoy Arcamo, Linda Paredes, Jojo Clarete, Pilo Buma-at and Dinia Dolodolea.
