MANILA, My 27 (PNA) — It took only four days for the Joint Congress, sitting as National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), to finish the canvassing of Certificate of Canvass (COCs) for the President and Vice President.
At exactly 7: 17 p.m. Friday, presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte wins by a big margin of more than six million votes against his closest rival, former Secretary Mar Roxas.
The most awaited portion on who won the vice presidential seat between Senator Bongbong Marcos and Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo was closely followed by both camps and media.
Robredo won by a slim margin of 263,473 votes after posting a total votes of 14,418,817 against Marcos who only got 14,155,344
The nation will be waiting for the final resolution of the two chamber of Congress declaring the winners of 2016 presidential elections and proclamation immediately follows early next week. (PNA)
