ABS-CBN hit reality show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) will return for Season 7 soon, and auditions were conducted in key cities nationwide, including here in Tagbilaran City at the Alturas Mall yesterday and today, to find prospective PBB housemates.
As early as 5 am yesterday, a number of teenagers aged 13-18 years were seen lining up along B. Inting Street, at the entrance of Alturas Mall, to try their luck in the audition for the Teen Edition. By the time the mall opened at around 7 am, the line became longer and the number of aspirants had increased as the gate opened at 8 AM.
In the second day of PBB auditions today, a long queue of line is expected again at the mall entrance as those adults aged 19-35 years will try for the Regular Edition.
Just like yesterday’s audition, there are no requirements needed. But for age verification, PBB staff advise everyone to have at least one government ID where the birthday is indicated. Or simply bring a birth certificate just in case, but again this is not required.
They also added that it’s good to bring along a ballpen; and even a snack and water; and an extra battery pack for cellphone; umbrella, hat or cap for the rains; and the most important of all is the “lakas ng loob at kapal ng mukhaâ€, according to Direk Lauren Dyogi who personally welcomes all the aspiring housemates and spearheads the selections.
The tentative date for the PBB 7th Season was fourth quarter of 2016. However, due to Toni Gonzaga and Mariel Rodriguez’s pregnancy, the premiere date was later moved next year to make way for the upcoming line-up of newly acquired Korean dramas that will replace “Jane The Virginâ€Â on its late night timeslot on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida block.
Last year, Jimboy Martin and Miho Nishida respectively won the Teen Edition and Regular Edition of PBB 737. Both received P1 million, an Asian tour package and a house and lot.
