Prov’l Police Supt. Dennis Agustin awaits the appointment of his successor as new chief of PNP Bohol.
Earlier, a colonel who was supposed to replace him was given another assignment thus the Bohol PNP command has to await for the selection board to convene again and pick the police officer to succeed him.
This even as a new PNP Region 7 director will assume tomorrow during a formal change of command ceremony in Cebu City. A certain Gen. Talino will succeed Gen. Commendador.
He said that three names were submitted to Gov. Edgar Chatto for him to choose on who will be the next Bohol PNP provincial director.
It may be noted that Agustin’s tenure as Bohol PNP chief was already extended after cross section of the community lobbied for his stay here citing his dedication in the fight against drugs. The campaign against drug addiction gained momentum shortly after his assumption as the new Bohol PNP chief.
Boholanos are hoping that Agustin’s successor will have the same vigor and commitment in the fight against illegal drugs.
