A man was killed while two other male victims were injured after the motorcycle they were riding collided into a commuter bus along the national highway in Barangay Bood in Ubay Friday morning.
According to the Ubay police investigation, the fatality, identified as 29-year-old Alberto Bongcales, a resident of Brgy Hagbuyo in San Miguel, lost control of the motorcycle he was driving causing it to collide head-on into a Southern Star bus.
Alberto was trying to overtake a 10-wheeler truck before he and his passengers slammed into the incoming bus which was driven by Virgil Ganzaon, a resident of Calvario, Loay.
Bongcales was rushed to the hospital but did not survive the injuries he sustained while his passengers, identified as Luigi Avenido and Gesrel Bonior who are also residents of Barangay Hagbuyo, are still being treated at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Ganzaon was taken into the custody of the Ubay police. (with reports from Rey Tutas)
