After a brief stint with the Police Regional Office 7, former Tagbilaran City police chief Supt. George Vale is back in Bohol.
Vale was reassigned again for the second time in just over a month as he was recently designated to head the Provincial Intelligence Branch in Bohol (PIB).
He took over the helm of the PIB on Monday as a result of a reshuffling in the command staff of Senior Supt. Felipe Natividad, provincial director of the Bohol police.
In July, Vale was replaced by Supt. Nicomedes Olaivar as chief of the Tagbilaran City police.
Olaivar moved from the top post of the Provincial Public Safety Company-Special Weapons and Tactics unit while he was replaced by Supt. Patricio Degay.
Meanwhile, Supt. Jeffrey Caballes who headed the Provincial Intelligence and Detective Management Branch is now the deputy provincial director for operations in Bohol.
Other officers holding top provincial police posts were retained including Supt. Ricky Delilis and Supt. Lorenzo Batuan, who are still public information officer and operations officer for the Bohol police, respectively.
In the previous mass reassignment of Bohol police officials, Vale was stationed at the PRO-7 headquarters in Cebu City and a number of Bohol municipal police chiefs were also moved to other police stations in Bohol and across the region.
However, most of the municipal police chiefs were relieved of their posts for inadequate aggressiveness in campaigns against crimes and illegal drugs while Vale’s term as city police chief expired. (Allen Doydora)
