The Bohol police sustains its drive against illegal drugs as anti-narcotics operatives collared Cortes town’s number three drug personality and a self-confessed pusher in Corella during separate buy-bust operations on Thursday.
Cortes police authorities immediately arrested suspect Kim Louie Chui, 31, after he sold suspected shabu worth P300 to an undercover cop in a buy-bust conducted in Barangay Salvador of the said town.
According to Insp. Dominie Ragusta, Cortes police chief, Chui recently surrendered to town authorities as the third-ranked drug personality in the town.
However, police found out through monitoring operations that the suspect, a resident of Brgy. San Roque, Cortes, continued to peddle illegal drugs in the said village and nearby areas.
In Corella, municipal police apprehended Dario Badiang, Jr., who is included in the town’s watch list of top ten drug personalities, in another buy-bust operation.
Badiang, a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Corella, was caught red-handed selling suspected shabu worth P200 to a policeman posing as a buyer.
Operatives found another pack of shabu and drug paraphernalia in Badiang’s possession as the suspect was frisked.
The town’s police chief, Insp. Andie Corpuz, said that the suspect continued to sell drugs even after yielding to authorities and pledging to discontinue involvement in illegal drug activities. (Willy Maestrado)
