Sierra Bullones police made the extra effort to visit two drugs suspects’ twice asking them to end illegal drugs involvement as part of Oplan Tokhang.
But after having their calls fell on deaf ears twice, the police’s third visit was through a buy-bust operation.
Municipal anti-narcotics operatives pounced on suspect Bonifacio Abay-Abay, who was subjected to Oplan Tokhang twice, as he was spotted allegedly selling illegal drugs on Thursday.
Abay-abay, a resident of Villa Garcia of the said town, was immediately collared after he sold suspected shabu worth P500 to a police posing as a buyer.
Police seized from the suspect 10 packs of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia following the buy-bust transaction.
At 8 p.m. on Thursday, the Sierra Bullones police conducted another buy-bust against a “Tokhang†subject.
The operatives set up the sting operation at the suspect’s home in Brgy. Villa Garcia.
The suspect, identified as Jerneil Ayag, 24, was immediately arrested by policemen stationed around the buy-bust area after he sold suspected shabu to an undercover cop.
Ayag was caught in possession of nine other packets of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
According to Inspector Geronimo Conarco, chief of the Sierra Bullones police, Ayag and Abay-abay were subjected to Oplan Tokhang twice and they also  surrendered two times at the town’s police station.
However, they both continued to peddle illegal drugs in Sierra Bullones barangays, Conarco said.
Ayag and Abay-abay are currently detained at the lock-up jail of the Sierra Bullones police while authorities are preparing to file drug charges against them. (Willy Maestrado)
