Tagbilaran City police arrested a suspected drug dealer in buy-bust operation conducted in Upper J.A Clarin, Barangay Dao in the city on Thursday morning.
City anti-narcotics operatives collared the suspect, 33-year-old Rodel Ampog who resident of Purok 3, Sitio Lanao of the said barangay, at 11:50 a.m.
Police said that they Ampog was caught selling shabu worth P500 to an undercover cop.
The police team, led by SPO4 Yolando Bagotchay Jr., confiscated four other packets of suspected shabu from the suspect.
According to the city police, Ampog was not responsive to Oplan Tokhang as he did not surrender to authorities.
He is currently detained at the Tagbilaran City police station while authorities prepare to file charges against him for violations against Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Rey Tutas)
