A barangay tanod included in the Tubigon watch list of top ten drug personalities was arrested by police for allegedly selling illegal drugs on Wednesday morning.

The suspect, identified as Jose Neil Nacua Sr., 47, was arrested at 11 a.m. through a buy-bust operation set up by the Tubigon police at Barangay Pook Oriental of the said town.

Nacua, a resident of Brgy. Potohan, Tubigon, was allegedly caught red-handed selling shabu worth P200 to police poseur-buyer.

He was immediately arrested by operatives who were stationed around the buy-bust area following the transaction.

Recovered from the Nacua were four sachets of suspected shabu and a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspect in peddling illegal drugs.

Nacua is detained at the Tubigon lock-up jail while authorities prepare to file charges against him for violating Sections 5 and 11 of R.A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

According to Tubigon police, Nacua was repeatedly subjected to Oplan Tokhang but the suspect refused to surrender and end his alleged illegal drug business. (Allen Doydora)
