A security guard who was reportedly drunk was arrested by police after firing his illegal pistol multiple times.
The suspect, identified as Marianito Dela Torre, 57, allegedly fired his handgun indiscriminately without provocation in front of the Dampas Barangay Hall in Tagbilaran City.
Police said that De La Torre fired his weapon four times terrorizing residents in the said area.
Responding policemen SPO2 Jonathan Banocia and PO1 Jobert Villarojo confiscated from the suspect a .45 Para Ordnance pistol which was loaded with a magazine containing six live bullets.
Alarm and scandal and illegal possession of firearm charges will be filed against Dela Torre who is a resident of Sitio Upper Candalit, Brgy. Dampas, this city. (Wellie Maestrado)Â
