Just a few days into 2017, the Boholano lawyer dubbed “Pinoy Aquaman” has already aimed at achieving yet another swimming feat.

This time, Atty. Ingemar Macarine will be swimming 24 kilometers across the Gingooog and Macajalar Bays off the shore of Cagayan de Oro.

Macarine’s latest open water attempt is 7 kilometers farther than his previous swim, which was at 17.1 km, and targeted to be accomplished within 10 hours.

In his Facebook post, Macarine said that he will swim from Camiguin to Balingoan, Misamis Oriental on Saturday.

The 39-year-old lawyer admitted that he was unable to train as much as he wanted due to time constraints during the holiday season.

However, Macarine remains on track in his newest open water swim attempt as part of his continued advocacy on promoting clean seas across the country.

On November 20, Macarine successfully crossed the Canigao Channel swimming from President Carlos P. Garcia to Maasin City, Leyte.
