The rehabilitation of a road near the Abatan River in Cortes will resume amid complaints from motorists on its unfinished construction.
According to Engr. Francis Antonio Flores, chief of the 1st Engineering District Office, the project engineer from the Department of Public Works and Highways 7 was immediately notified on the unfinished construction after complaints reached his office.
Flores said that the project engineer assured him that the road construction will resume within the week.
The construction reportedly remained unfinished after the contractor, CCM Construction, started working on another project in Barangay Dipatlong, Corella.
However, the CCM Construction vowed to complete the project which had been left unfinished for already a month.
The construction firm explained that delays also arose in December as many of their employees had started to take vacations and had gone home to their respective towns.
Following the development, Flores assured the riding public that all road constructions which have already been started will be completed. (Allen Doydora)
