Ex-Bilibid inmate shot dead in Sagbayan

A man who was recently released from the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) was shot dead in Barangay Sta. Catalina, Sagbayan on Friday.

PO1 Bryan Florenosos of the Sagbayan Police Station identified the victim as Paul Dagamac, a resident of V.P. Inting Ave., Tagbilaran City.

According to Florenosos, Dagamac was shot dead by an unidentified gunman who was wearing a motorcycle helmet while the victim was on board his motorcycle.

The 46-year-old victim sustained three gunshot wounds in his head causing his instantaneous death.

Dagamac was reportedly travelling from Tagbilaran City with a married female companion identified as 33-year-old Marcia Maupin, a resident of Basdio, Guindulman.

Based on investigation, the victim was nearing Brgy. San Antonio in Sagbayan but decided to go back to Sta. Catalina as the road was too muddy.

At a secluded area in Barangay Sta. Catalina, three men on two motorcycles ambushed Dagamac shooting him multiple times.

The suspects left Maupin unharmed.

Police said that Dagamac who was a brother of a policeman was released from the NBP in December after serving time for a drug case. (Rey Tutas)
