Two boys in Trinidad who went missing amid the onslaught of heavy rains on Monday were found dead while a crewman of a sunken pumpboat remains missing, said authorities.
According to the Talibon police, Jomel Orivillo, 14, was found lifeless and snagged by pieces of wood which were flushed by the flood in Barangay Sto. Tomas of said town.
Orivillo was carried away by strong current while he was swimming in the Santo Tomas River with his friends on Monday afternoon, said PO3 Floriano Hinlayagan of the Trinidad Police Station.
On Tuesday afternoon, a fisherman found the lifeless body of 4-year-old Roy Andeles in seawaters off Bien Unido.
Andales was reportedly with his parents when he accidentally slid and fell into the river swollen by heavy rains in Barangay Cabiguhan.
Meanwhile, Orly Dadios, a 19-year-old resident of Bolod, Panglao, remains missing after the pumpboat he was on sank on Monday afternoon in seawaters between Siquijor and Bohol.
The Coast Guard continues to conduct search and rescue operations and have coordinated with their various stations in nearby areas to help locate the missing person.
Dadios was with his uncle Chino Dadios and Vergel Claraval, 17, who have both been rescued, when the incident happened.
Chino Dadios was found in Siquijor while Claraval was located by authorities in Sinipay Island, Zamboanga del Norte. (Allen Doydora)
