A total of P14.3 million was funneled to six Bohol towns from the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 7 (DA-7) through bottom-up budgeting (BUB) funds allotted in previous years.
The amount was formally turned over on Wednesday by newly appointed DA-7 director Atty. Salvador Diputado to the local government units of Dagohoy, Sevilla, Dauis, Inabanga, Calape and Carmen.
The mayors and disbursing officers of said towns personally received checks with varying amounts at the Bohol Agriculture Promotion Center in Tagbilaran City.
Dagohoy Mayor Sofronio Apat, Sr. received a check worth P2.8 million for BuB 2014 from the DA.
The town of Calape was given its 2015 BUB allotment of P2 million which was received by Mayor Nelson Yu while the municipality of Inabanga received P800,000 for BuB 2014.
Meanwhile, Mayor Juliet Dano of Sevilla received two checks worth P3.2 million and P2.3 million from the national government for BuB 2014 and 2015, respectively. (A. Doydora)
