Two armed men took away P68,000 in collection money after allegedly robbing a lending firm collector at gunpoint in Tagbilaran City on Monday.

Victim Riboden Silva, a collector for Lucky Day Lending along Belderol St., Tagbilaran City, said that he was driving a motorcycle near the Dampas dumpsite when the bonnet-clad suspects blocked his path.

Silva, 30, reportedly came from his house in Habitat Village, Barangay Bool and was about to remit the collection money during the incident.

He narrated to police that the he immediately handed over the money out of fear as the two men pointed their .45 caliber pistols at him.

“Kwarta ra ang amua. Ibilin nang motor ug lakaw na,” the suspects reportedly told Silva.

The suspects then fled taking the money and Silva’s cellphone.

The Tagbilaran CIty Police Station has tasked its theft and robbery section to investigate the case. (Weli Maestrado)
