There will be no politicking involved in Vice President Leni Robredo’s visit to Bohol.
This was bared by Robredo’s spokesperson Georgina Hernandez through DYRD “Inyong Alagad†on Wednesday.
According to Hernandez, the vice president will extend aid to partner towns of the “Angat Buhay†program, namely Panglao and Maribojoc.
Hernandez pointed out the inclusion of Maribojoc in the towns visited by Robredo as the municipality is deemed a bailiwick of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s staunch ally and Cabinet Sec. Leoncio Evasco Jr., the town’s former mayor.
Robredo has no scheduled meetings with officials in Bohol under the Liberal Party, added Hernandez.
Upon her arrival today, Robredo will motor to Maribojoc town for the “Angat Buhay” event with the turnover of paddle boats at the Maribojoc Cultural Center.
She will deliver the keynote address on the orientation of her brainchild project which is part of her advocacies for poverty alleviation at the Bohol Tropics Resort.
At a luncheon, she will then meet with the local government units, non-government organizations and the business group at JJ’s Seafood Village.
Robredo will depart from the province this afternoon, said Benjie Oliva, administrator of the Cooperative Development Authority. (Allen Doydora)
