A man suspected of fatal shootings, theft and involvement in illegal drug activities was gunned down on Sunday in Candijay.

Police identified the victim as Victor Busano, a 43-year-old resident of Brgy. La Union, Candijay.

Busano was reportedly shot and killed in his house at 6:00 p.m.

The unidentified assailant suddenly went near the victim and allegedly shot him in the chest.

Police said that the suspect immediate fled after the shooting incident while Busano was rushed to a hospital in Tagbilaran City.

He still made it to the hospital but eventually succumbed to his injuries at 2 p.m. on Monday.

Police in Candijay are eyeing revenge and a possible rift between the victim and associates in the drug trade as motives behind the killing. (W. Maestrado)
