A man previously arrested for suspected possession of illegal drugs was allegedly caught by police with shabu worth P70,000 at Sitio Union, Barangay Poblacion in Dauis on Thursday.
Michael Padilla, a 28-year-old resident of Barangay Cangguining, Baclayon was collared in a buy-bust operation conducted by the police Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) at 2:40 p.m.
The suspect reportedly sold shabu worth P500 to an undercover operative resulting in his immediate arrest.
Policemen led by P/Sr. Insp. Jojit Manangil and P/Sr. Insp. Erano Regidor of the PIB who were positioned around the buy-bust area then immediately moved in to handcuff and frisk the suspect.
According to Manangil, the suspect had in his possession 16 grams of suspected shabu which were sourced from Tagbilaran City.
Padilla is currently detained at the lock-up jail inside Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City pending the filing of charges against him. (Weli Maetsrado)
