A man who was allegedly caught in the act of selling illegal drugs was arrested by police in Maribojoc on Wednesday night.

According to the Maribojoc police, suspect Erickson Bancure, 33, is a resident of Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City, but has been selling illegal drugs in the town.

Policemen of the municipality reportedly spotted Bancure at Sitio Exaltacion, Barangay Poblacion in Maribojoc at 5:30 p.m yesterday.

Operatives then set in motion a buy-bust operation against Bancure leading to a transaction between the suspect and a police poseur-buyer.

Bancure was immediately collared after he allegedly sold shabu worth P500 to the undercover cop.

According to authorities, Bancure admitted to drug use but denied peddling the illegal substance in the area.

Bancure was reportedly caught in possession of three other packets of shabu. He will be charged with possession and sale of illegal drugs, police said. (W. Maestrado)
