Another motorcyclist was killed in a road accident along Barangay Progreso, Alicia on Thursday after two other motorcycle drivers died a day before due to a head-on collision.
The latest victim identified as Jess Benedict Doydora, a 45-year-old resident of Barangay Lumangog, Ubay, figured in a fatal accident at 3:30 p.m.
According to PO3 Ferdinand Tutor of the Alicia Police Station, Doydora was travelling from a fiesta gathering at Barangay Cayacay when the victim slammed into the concrete side of a culvert.
The victim reportedly lost control of the motorcycle at a blind curve and was under the influence of alcohol based on accounts from his companions in Cayacay, said Tutor.
Doydora was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians, he added.
The victim reportedly succumbed to severe injuries to the head and other parts of the body which were caused by the motorcycle’s high speed prior to the impact.
On Wednesday, two men on board their motorcycles figured in a head-on collision in the same road in Barangay Progreso.
Tutor tagged the area as “accident-prone” due to a blind curve.
He urged motorists who pass by the area to be careful and decelerate to avoid accidents.
