Four suspects were arrested for alleged involvement in illegal numbers game swertres in the Tagbilaran City Police Station’s (TCPS) continued drive against unauthorized gambling.
The TCPS under the supervision of Sr. Insp. Erano Regidor collared the suspects in three anti-illegal gambling operations in a span of less than an hour on Friday morning.
Police identified the arrested suspects as Nina Christine Clarin, Alfredo Tanio, John Requeron and Alexander Pinos.
Clarin, a 42-year-old alleged illegal gambling collector, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. in Sitio Ubos Causweay, Poblacion 1.
Ten minutes’ after, police nabbed another alleged collector Tanio, 57, in the same location.
Both suspects were allegedly caught in possession of illegal numbers game paraphernalia.
At 9:20 a.m. the operatives moved in against Requeron and Pinos, 30, along B. Inting Street in Tagbilaran City.
Requaron was allegedly caught in the act of issuing bet stub to a poseur-bettor while Requeron, an alleged runner for unauthorized numbers game operations, was caught in possession illegal gambling paraphernalia.
Charges against the suspects are now being prepared by authorities. (W. Maestrado)
