Two men and a six-year-old girl were killed after their motorcycle slammed straight into an incoming truck in Alicia on Sunday.
The accident happened at 12 p.m. along the National Highway in Sitio Aracan, Barangay Untaga in Alicia, said PO1 Leonard Ecundo of the Alicia Police Station.
Victims Jerome Dallos who was the driver, the female minor and her father, Ricardo Bumota, all residents of Brgy. Emilda, Ubay, died on the spot.
According to Ecundo, the victims were heading towards Pilar when they tried to overtake a tricycle but ended up colliding head on with the truck which was moving to the opposite direction.
Based on investigation, the truck owned by the Alturas Group of Companies was driven by Veanni Granada, a 35-year-old resident of Barangay Babag, Dagohoy.
Alicia police investigators are now conducting a followup probe on the incident.
Meanwhile, Granada has voluntarily presented himself before authorities following the accident. (Allen Doydora)
