Boholanos coming from the various provinces as well as other parts of the world will be tendered a formal grand welcome reception on Saturday which is also the day for the Sandugo Street Dancing.
Organized under the “Balik Bohol” program, the homecomers will be treated to a breakfast menu of Boholano blend at the house of the late President Carlos P. Garcia. The balikbayans will be extended special place during the street dancing to participate in the “Kuradang” dancing in the street,
Gov. Edgar Chatto and Chairman/.COO Cesar Montano of the Tourism Promotions Board will host a dinner reception for the balikbayans at the Bohol Tropics on Saturday. An election of officers is all set to be done during the gathering. Broadcaster Andy Manatad is the interim president.
The climax of the grand reception for the balibayans is a picnic at the white sand of Anda on Sunday morning. Their lunch is sponsored by the Association of Andahanons in Metro Manla headed by its president James Porter .
Romy Tagaan of the provincial government is coordinating the reception program for the hundreds of balikbayans, both domestic and international.
This is a prelude to the hosting next year of the Tigum Bol-anon sa Tibook Kalibutan (TBTK)
